Reminder – World Missions Potluck
This Sunday, August 23, we will host our Romanian missionaries, Adi and Lavinia Dreana, at a potluck after the 11:00 service in the auditorium. Everyone is encouraged to attend to hear what the Lord is doing in Romania through this dynamic couple. Please bring a main dish for 10 people and salad or dessert.
Middle School Parents Meeting
Parents of middle school youth are invited to a meeting on August 26, at 7:15pm. The meeting is about the start of a youth group for 6th- 8th grades (11-13 years old by September 30, 2015). Contact Julia Shaw-Fuller () or Regina Gossage ().

On August 30 there’s just one worship service at 11:00 a.m. for the entire Blue Ridge church family to be together!
Fall Sunday School – The Gospel Project
Please take time to look at the bulletin flyer regarding the Gospel Project, which is our new Sunday School curriculum for all ages. Stop by the table in the foyer and sign up yourself and your family. Also, please sign up to be blessed by serving a rotation in children’s ministry.
Annual Congregational Meeting & Town Hall
Our Annual Congregational Meeting and Potluck are September 19. The FY2016 budget and other information will be sent out via The City by August 25. Photocopies will be available for pick up on August 30. A Town Hall meeting will be on September 6, 6:00 p.m. to bring your questions.
On August 16 Pastor Jack brought us back to the study in I Thessalonians entitled “The Raptured”. He encouraged us as believers to remember our destiny is to be with Jesus, here, now and forever. Do you find joy and comfort in light of your destiny or discomfort because of life changes that may need to be made?
