We’re now very close to raising enough funds to enable Stephen Aputara (missionary — norther Ghana) to purchase a ministry truck.

He needs $14,000 for a reliable used truck. The Lord has already provided $10,000, and BRBC has the promise of a $2,000 matching grant if we can raise the remaining $2,000. Right now we’re at $1,430, which means we’re still short $570.

Please prayerfully consider how much of this remaining balance you can supply.

Here’s how Stephen describes his need for a truck:

“The truck that I currently use will not be available to me anymore as I step down from my position as president of the Bible Churches of Africa. I have served out the limit of two terms as president and God must now provide someone else to take that responsibility – and the truck that goes with it.

“I will depend on the ministry truck to convey leaders from village to village, as they seek to evangelize and plant churches in many remote locations. The truck will serve as an ambulance to carry sick people from the rural areas to the health facilities, which are usually in more populated places.

“I will convey equipment and relief supplies such as foodstuffs, building materials, construction tools and other bulky items from place to place. You know already how useful the truck has been in the last two years for house building and agricultural support. I will carry supplies for preschools that we started in both Mirigu and Navrongo. Now, we have plans of starting two other schools in Doba and Manyoro in September 2009.

“The truck enables me to move from place to place as I preach the gospel, teach the Word of God, and organize evangelism crusades in towns and villages in northern Ghana.”
