Pray for our 5-Day Backyard Bible Clubs
Monday starts week two of this neighborhood outreach with a different set of locations. Week one saw over 25 children attending the clubs. All locations and hosts for the weeks of July 18 and July 25 are listed on The City. BRBC kids who live near these clubs are welcome to attend, but contact the host families to let them know you are coming. Please be praying for these clubs to have a huge impact for the Gospel!
Send-off Party for the Shipes
Everyone is invited to come on July 30 at 6:30 p.m. for Rich Shipe’s commissioning and a send-off party for the Shipes as they soon will leave us for their church planting training in Chicago. This is for the whole family and will include cake and ice cream at the end of the party. Please RSVP on The City and include how many in your family will attend.
Chillin & Grillin – August 7
It’s time for our annual Chillin & Grillin at Franklin Park from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. It’s for the whole family and includes grilled hot dogs, watermelon, and lots of fellowship through Frisbee golf and other fun activities or just “chillin” with the church family. Access to the pool from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. is included in the $5.00 per person cost. So that enough food is provided, you must sign up and pay on July 17, 24 or 31 at the auditorium table.
Membership Introduction Class – August 7
Interested in becoming a member of Blue Ridge or just want to learn more? Come to an introduction class on August 7, 9:30 a.m. in the library. After this in-person class, the remaining is a self-paced curriculum online. Email Debbie Stevenson () to sign up. Childcare will be provided if you sign up by July 31.
Our missionary to Bolivia, Joe Holman shared a very practical message on the “Purposes of Marriage” . Have you considered what the purpose is for marriage in general, and if you are married, do you know the purpose of your own marriage?
