BRBC Helping One Another – “freecycle”
Monday, August 31st, 2009 | By Rich Shipe | Posted in Announcements, Get Involved, Service Opportunities | No Comments »Tim Chambers has set up a place where the fellowship at BRBC can post items and services in need or to give. If you have a need, post it here! Maybe another sister, brother, or family may be able to meet it. If you have something to offer, you may find someone has a need for the same. Offer your material goods or your time to serve others in our local body. Anything from household or garden items to an offer to lighten someone’s load by helping them with a project can be a blessing. Please don’t be shy or hold back- others are deeply blessed when given the opportunity to share, give, or serve. Remember that God uses each of us in the body to care for us, oftentimes in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Share your needs as well as your gifts. Let us encourage each other all the more as the Day draws near!

Meals Ministry
Thursday, July 31st, 2008 | By Rich Shipe | Posted in About Us, Announcements, Get Involved, Service Opportunities | No Comments »Often times we are able to minister to our church families by providing meals during an extended illness, hospital stay, or birth of a baby. This is a great way to serve, to meet new people, and to do a behind-the-scenes-but-valuable ministry. Please contact Geni Hall (genihall[at]aol.com or 540-338-4287) to get on our availability list to help as needs arise. Also, Christy Shipe is coordinating meals for the Thomas family while Melissa is going through her six months of chemotherapy. If you would like to help with this ongoing need for the Thomases, you can sign up online or contact Christy directly (540-338-2597).
