Our community outreach, otherwise known as the Annual Clothing Giveaway, is this Saturday, October 15. It’s tradition is well known in our area and many line up outside an hour before it starts because this gift of free clothing is so important to them. We are looking for volunteers to help host our “guests” (speaking Spanish is helpful), as well as for clean up and resetting the auditorium. If you are able to help in any way, contact Courtney Shipe () or just come. The event is from 9:00 a.m. to Noon, and clean up begins immediately after.
And for those who can come for the “Exchange” part, you can donate, sort and “shop” for clothes, today/Thursday or Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Church Work Day
Mark your calendars now to join us on Saturday, October 29, for our fall work day. Outside there will be leaf blowing “events” and general landscape clean-up, and inside there’s always cleaning and possibly painting. There’s something for all ages, and you can come at 8:30 a.m. and stay until 1:00 or for as much time as you can contribute. Please sign up on The City so that we know how many tasks to plan.
Christmas Eve Service
On Saturday, December 24, we will have our annual Christmas Eve Service at 6:00 p.m. Please bring your family, friends, and neighbors to celebrate the birth of our Savior together through song and Scripture. No childcare is provided.
Christmas Day Plans
For your planning purposes, on Christmas Day (also Sunday), we invite the church family to come at 11:00 a.m. only for a Christmas Day Devotional together. The service will be shorter than a regular Sunday schedule. Childcare will not be provided, except for nursery age.
