Big Concert to help Romania Reborn — September 23
One of our mission agencies, Romania Reborn, is hosting a fundraising concert here at BRBC on Friday, September 23, at 7:00 p.m. The performance is by Christian singer/songwriter Andrew Peterson! Romania Reborn will have tickets available on Sunday after both services in the foyer (see more info below or on The City).
Annual Meeting — September 24
Our important annual business meeting and potluck is Saturday, September 24. Potluck starts at 5:30 p.m. sharp, followed by the meeting at 6:45 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to come to hear all that God has been doing in our church this year. If you have been to unfortunate meetings at other churches, this is not like that. It’s a celebration! Childcare is available for 2-10 year olds IF we get some teens (14 & up) to help us. If your teen is available to serve, contact Debbie Stevenson () immediately.
Annual Congregational Meeting
Our Annual Congregational Meeting and Potluck is September 24. We will hear reports of all that God has been doing in 2016 and vote on the FY2017 budget. Non-members are very welcome to attend. Members must be present in order to vote. Please RSVP for the meeting & potluck on The City, and bring your best main dish for 10 AND a salad/vegetable or dessert.
Andrew Peterson Concert – September 23
Everyone is encouraged to come and hear popular singer/songwriter Andrew Peterson, here at 7:00 p.m., and help support Romania Reborn at the same time. Tickets are $15 adult ($12 children) pre-concert or $18 at the door. You can buy tickets on Sunday in the foyer or at Romania Reborn
Prayer & Praise
We are grateful for the people who will be leaving this week to serve in Normandy, France, with our missionary Steve Darling. They will be doing the annual refurbishing of the ministry center and encouraging the hard working staff. Pray for safe travels, safekeeping, good health and skills in their work, and that the Lord would use them to further His gospel in the spiritual darkness of France. Team members: Todd, Kimberly & Micalah Harris, Francesca & Axel Edling, and Tom & Suzanne Larry.
On September 11, Pastor Jack went back to our study of the Book of Hebrews and the series called “They Never Saw It Coming…They Just Believed”. On the same week that we were kicking off our Fall Life Group Session, we heard “Faith in…Community” from Hebrews 10:19-25. Listen and be encouraged to know the benefits of community!
