DNow, membership, coffee & convo, baptism + Loving Well

Here are several pertinent weekend notes for you:

This Saturday is the bimonthly Tree of Life Volunteer Introduction to learn about how to get plugged in to serve those in need in our community. 9:00-10:00am at the Tree of Life Center in Purcellville.

This Sunday we’ll get to hear an update on our support for Pastor Walid, one of the national missionaries who we support, and Christians and refugees in Syria.

Remember – click yes to your Town group invite! We have a lot of folks who haven’t yet accepted this invitation on the City. Please help us out by taking two seconds to log onto the City and click “confirm” on that invite. Thank you!

DNow Retreat Help – January 26-28
Disciple Now (DNow) is a terrific annual in-town retreat that has jumpstarted and deepened the faith of many of our high schoolers. This Sunday is the deadline for students to register—print out the form here and visit the table in the sanctuary Sunday to turn it in! Also, Pastor David still has a need for host homes (host 5-8 teens in your home for two nights). Contact to help.

Ladies Coffee & Conversation – January 29
Ladies, come out for the next Coffee & Conversation—the winter edition! This is a fellowship for all BRBC women over 16 years of age. Get closer with old friends and make new friends as we enjoy an evening of fellowship and discuss God’s Word together. Nursing babies only please. Please RSVP on the City, or to our hostess Jan Murphy ( or 540-338-2480).

Is BRBC Your Church Home? – February 4
Consider making this the year you covenant with us in membership! Membership allows you to show your connection with and bless our church family by serving in deeper ways. Come to the next Membership Introduction class to get started, or just come to learn more about BRBC. Room 104 at 9:30am. Contact Brittany with questions or to sign up ().

Baptism Service & Celebration – February 18
Our next baptism is a special night of worship and celebration on Sunday, February 18 from 6:00-7:00pm, followed by a fellowship time. Make plans to come share together in this great experience! If you or someone in your family wants to participate, email Brittany (). Parents, we have an excellent workbook that helps kids understand the meaning of baptism—visit the Welcome Center to pick up a book and have your child complete it by February 1 to participate.

Loving Well
Continuing in a new series on “Discipleship of the Heart,” Pastor Jack preached from I John 4:7-11 & 18-21 on how to love well—we must first understand God’s love for us and then go to Him to fill us with His love, before we pour His love out into the lives of those around us. Listen to “Loving Well.
