Many events + Atonement

Good Friday & Easter. Reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice for each of us and prepare your heart for Easter tomorrow evening at our Good Friday service at 7:00pm. This brief service is for the whole family; childcare is not available. Then come Easter Sunday to celebrate! Regular schedule on Sunday, including Sunday school.

Women’s ministry events. Ladies, are you coming to Amy George’s baby shower and/or the final Coffee & Conversation this season? Remember to RSVP if so! Details below.

Baby Shower – April 23
Ladies, please join us for a baby shower honoring Amy George on Sunday, April 23 from 2:30-4:30pm at the home of Cheryl Finnegan in Leesburg. This is for all BRBC women (16 years & above)—come for fellowship, regardless whether you know the mom! RSVP and see gift lists on the City.

Town Hall Meeting – April 23
Make plans to attend a town hall meeting on April 23 from 6:00-7:00pm in room 106. Instead of a vote, the elders invite everyone to come meet Bill Wilcox, as well as to understand more about the qualifications of elders.

Ladies Coffee & Conversation – April 24
All BRBC women (16 years & above) are encouraged to come to our last Coffee & Conversation of the season on April 24. RSVP on The City or contact Jan Murphy at .

Baskets of Blessings – Churchwide Outreach
Are you looking for a way to engage intentionally with a mom who may not yet know Jesus? On April 30, you have the opportunity to request a beautiful basket full of items to bless a mom you know (other than your own or someone at church) such as a friend, neighbor, store clerk, or coworker. On May 7, pick up a basket to deliver that week and see what God does! Be praying and thinking now about participating and who you will request a basket for on April 30.

Community Serve Day – May 6
Our local Tree of Life Ministries invites BRBC and other area churches to join in on May 6 for Community Serve Day 2017, a day that is being set aside to bless our community and share the love of Jesus Christ. See the many volunteer roles and sign up at http://bit.ly/2oEsnYv.

The Day of Atonement
On Palm Sunday, Pastor Jack exhorted us with a picture to better see Jesus. The Old Testament practice of the day of atonement in Leviticus 16 parallels how Jesus is our blood covering to protect us from God’s wrath against our sin and how he is also our scapegoat, who separates our sin far from us. Praise God for his mercy in this week leading to our Easter celebration! Listen to “The Day of Atonement.”
