Memorial service help needed + Souper Bowl prep

The memorial service for Russ Jenkins is on Saturday morning at 10:00AM in the sanctuary (with visitation Friday from 6:00-8:00PM). We are looking for help on Saturday, in particular at 11:30AM to help set-up the sanctuary for lunch and again at 2:30PM to reset for Sunday. Please comment on the City or email Brittany if you can help, thank you!

We also ask that anyone who will not be going to the burial service please consider parking next door at the Carver Center to help us manage parking.

One other note for this Saturday is that Men’s Breakfast is cancelled due to preparations for the service.

Get your Souper Bowl of Caring cards to hand out!
This is our churchwide outreach for the beginning of the year – take some information cards on Sunday after the service to hand out to your neighbors this coming week. Designate a time to pick up the food and bring it to church on Jan 29 or Feb 5. Start praying now for your neighbors and for God to continue to turn our hearts toward those in need. Click here for more info and learn how to pray, plan, and go!

Ladies Coffee & Conversation – January 30
All BRBC women (16 years & above) are encouraged to come to our monthly Coffee & Conversation on January 30. Get closer with old friends and make new friends as we enjoy an evening of fellowship and discussing the attributes of God together. RSVP and see details on the City or see the flyer in the bulletin on Sunday for full info.

Mission Service Project to France
Consider joining a short-term team to France Sept 23-Oct 7 to support our missionary, Stephen Darling. This team will restore and repair his ministry building located on the coast in Normandy. Team members willing to paint, deep-clean, do yardwork, as well as specific tradecraft and other professional skills are needed. Visit the table at the back of the sanctuary on Sunday, or email Francesca or Todd  to learn more.

Prayer & Praise
As we commemorate the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, we include the sanctity of all life at all stages and abilities. We praise Him for wonderfully designing each person for His purpose. We are reminded to pray for our country’s individuals, leaders and churches to stand for righteousness.

Our Fixation: Jesus
Pastor Jack showed us in Hebrews 12:1-4 how Jesus is our model of living by faith. He faced suffering, shame, defeat, and more—yet believed his suffering had a purpose, continued to obey, and looked in hope to the future. Will we choose today to fix our eyes on Jesus instead of whatever is facing us? Look to Him, and listen to “Our Fixation: Jesus” for encouragement.
