Summer is almost over and the Fall start-up of new and exciting events and ministries is underway! Read through some of those opportunities listed below.
Please also take time to look at the bulletin flyer on Sunday regarding the Gospel Project, which is our new Sunday School curriculum for all ages. Stop by the Sunday School table in the foyer and sign up yourself and your family. Opportunities to serve in children’s ministry are also available.
Middle School Parents Meeting
Parents of middle school youth are invited to a meeting on August 26, at 7:15pm. The meeting is about the start of a youth group for 6th- 8th grades (11-13 years old by September 30, 2015). This group will meet Wednesday nights, 7:00-9:00pm beginning September 2. Contact Julia Shaw-Fuller () or Regina Gossage ().
Special Sunday Schedule on August 30
On August 30 we will have just one worship service at 11:00 a.m. Come ready to worship with the entire Blue Ridge church family! Our VBS children will sing, we will hear from God’s Word about making disciples and how the Gospel Project will help us do so. See flyer for more details
World Missions Potluck
On August 23, we will host our Romanian missionaries, Adi and Lavinia Dreana, at a potluck after the 11:00 service. Everyone is encouraged to attend to hear what the Lord is doing in Romania through this dynamic couple. Please bring a main dish for 10 people and salad or dessert. Also if you have a mini-van or pre-paid cell phone for them to use during their visit (8/20-9/5), contact Tom Geyer ()
Baby Shower — August 29

Annual Congregational Meeting & Town Hall
Mark your calendars for our Annual Congregational Meeting and Potluck on September 19. The FY2016 budget and other information will be mailed three weeks prior to the meeting. You will also have opportunities to bring questions to a Town Hall Meeting on September 6, 6:00 p.m.
The August 9 sermon was from our elder chairman, Bill Parker, who reminded us that we believers have the “One Spirit” living in us, but He is revealed differently through each of us. Bill challenged us to keep that in mind as we interact with each other in the Body of Christ and to watch how it will change our view of fellowship in ministry, service, LIFE groups, and families.
