Awana NEEDS More Kids!
Awana just started the new year and the leaders would LOVE for your kids to join them. All children ages 3 (potty-trained) to 14 are invited to come on Sundays from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Kids participate in energetic game times, Bible based teaching experiences, small group time with friends, and learn how a personal relationship with Christ affects their everyday lives. Clothing Exchange & Giveaway
It’s time to get rid of those clothes that no one in your house is wearing and to share the clothes with others. That’s what happens at a “clothing exchange” and it’s happening here on October 15 & 16, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The giveaway is on October 17 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon for the community to share in our abundance. Details for participating are on The City > Calendar > October 15 or contact Courtney Shipe (). Clothing drop-off is only on October 15-16.
Children’s Ministry Need
Many thanks to those who are serving our children during both worship services. We are still in great need of helpers during the 11:00 worship service, especially for the 4-8 year old class, from 11:25 to the end of the service. To volunteer on the rotation schedule, contact Regina Gossage (). Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.
Refuge on Friday Nights
“Refuge” is our fellowship and study group for college and young career aged adults. It meets most Friday evenings. Check out the list of events in the bulletin calendar section and contact Megan Rafalski () for location, details and to join their group on The City.
Pastor Jack returned to our study of I Thessalonians with “Living With The End In Mind” from 5:1-11. Living as if Jesus could return tomorrow is meant to encourage us and encourage each other. The Big Idea — “You never lay it down until you get that crown.”
