Ridge Notes for September 3, 2015

The Gospel Project begins this Sunday, September 6, during the 9:30 a.m. service for all ages!  For parents who are arriving for the 11:00 a.m. service, if your children who are 4 to 8 years old are participating in classes, please check them in first and then bring them with you to the worship service for the 1st part. They will be dismissed and brought to their classes at the end of the song time.

Town Hall Meeting on September 6 — Come to the Town Hall Meeting on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. to ask questions about our proposed FY2016 budget or other things on your mind.

Annual Congregational Meeting
Our Annual Congregational Meeting and Potluck is September 19. Pick up a copy of the FY2016 budget at the back of the auditorium, and read the bulletin flyer for those being recommended for elder and deacon positions. Please RSVP for the meeting & potluck on The City, or bring your best main dish for 10 people and a salad or dessert.

LIFE Groups Resume
During the week of September 13 our next 10-week session begins. The bulletin flyer describes our concept of LIFE groups. Please be in prayer about your involvement this year. It is absolutely the best way to develop relationships here!

Financial Peace University
Starting September 17 we will offer Financial Peace University classes on Thursday nights at the church at 7:00 p.m. This is the financial planning method developed by author Dave Ramsey. Childcare will be provided. Register and purchase the kit of important tools you’ll need to succeed in the class. After registering, join the class group on The City so that Harley and Adrienne Green (our faithful class leaders) can more easily keep in touch with you.

College & Young Career “Refuge” Group
Refuge is our LIFE group for college-aged young people. The first meeting of the fall will be a pool party on September 11 at the Rogans’. For more information contact Megan Rafalski ()

On August 30 Pastor Jack gave us eight things to do in order to better hear sermons. Download the unusual and very practical “How To Listen To A Sermon”  and start practicing.
