Romania update — 7-28

Dear friends,
We are sad to report that Alan is not doing well. After his last surgery, he had some problems with the anesthesia, but seemed to be doing well upon his return to Oradea. However, shortly after that Alan began to have trouble and has grown worse with each passing day.

He stopped eating, his body has started shutting down, and he is back in the hospital full time. Alan can no longer breathe on his own and is connected to a respirator.

Throughout this ordeal, Corina has been constantly by Alan’s side. Although this has been vital for Alan, it has completely exhausted Corina, who desperately needs sleep and rest. Seeing the constant suffering of Alan has taken an emotional toll on her as well.

We will be calling Corina daily for updates on any changes in Alan’s condition, and will pass any news on to you immediately.

Please pray:

• That Corina will have strength to endure and will find moments to rest and renew.
• That Alan will know the comfort of God’s presence through Corina.
• That God will give Corina peace knowing Alan’s life is in His hands.
• That this situation will bring glory to God and light to those in the hospital.
