Two weekend reminders for you:
This Saturday is our baby shower honoring Sarah Cavicchi and Sharon Awig this Saturday, March 4 from 2:00-4:00pm at church. This is for all BRBC women (16 years & above), regardless whether you know the expectant moms – come for fellowship! Go to the City to RSVP and see gift lists.
This Sunday is your opportunity to start the process to become a member of Blue Ridge or to learn more about us. Come to the membership introduction class on March 5, 9:30am in the library. The class is offered on the first Sunday of each month and is the intro for the self-paced online portion of the course.
Opportunities to Get to Know Those in Need – March 18
Tree of Life Ministries (TOL), our local parachurch organization dedicated to reaching the poor and needy in our community, offers volunteer opportunities in food, lifeskills, shelter, relief, and healthcare areas. Individuals, families, and Life Groups can be a part—go to their next Volunteer Introduction Program (VIP) on March 18 from 9:00-10:00am at the Tree of Life Center to learn specific ways you can volunteer, as well as the big picture story of Tree of Life and what they do in our community. Contact TOL to learn more.
“The Great I Am” Women’s Retreat – March 24 & 25
Ladies, be sure to register by March 19 for this annual gathering! This is a two-day retreat at the church, Friday 6:00-9:00pm and Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm. This year’s theme is “The Great I Am,” celebrating the attributes of God, and will feature testimonies and teaching from our very own BRBC ladies. Enjoy fun, fellowship, food, and encouragement from the speakers as well as through small group & in-depth breakout sessions. See the full schedule on the City. Register by completing the form in the bulletin on Sunday and paying $30 at the table under the logos in the sanctuary.
Baptism on Easter Sunday – April 16
Our April baptism is scheduled for April 16, when we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection! If you or someone in your family wants to participate in it or future baptisms, email Brittany (email@example.com). Parents, we have an excellent workbook that helps kids understand the meaning of baptism. Contact Regina Gossage (firstname.lastname@example.org) to get a book and learn more about the process.
Our Reminder: Remain
Pastor Jack exhorted us through Hebrews 13:7-14 to remain in our faith, invested for the long-term! How do we do this? By remembering three things: those who’ve invested in our faith, what our investment is in, and the return on our investment. Listen to “Our Reminder: Remain.”
