Survey, building believers, France missions + Carpe diem

Can I ask a special favor? Will you right now click here and answer this 3-question survey to help us know how to plan? It will only take 2 minutes of your life! I promise! -Brittany

Thanks to everyone who came out to last weekend’s Chill & Grill picnic! Praise God for the church family He’s given us here at BRBC!

Pastry Shop in Paris, Normandy fundraiser – This Sunday
French pastries, coffee, and a touch of Paris! You can support the short-term mission service team going to Normandy, France in September just by enjoying a pastry and photo op! Stop by the bake sale table this Sunday in the upstairs lobby or the photo booth in the library after 1st or 2nd service.

Cross-Training – August 20 or 27
Did you see the cross-training flyer in the bulletin last week? Cross-training is our annual event where we desire for each person who calls BRBC home to get trained up for ministry to our church body! Pick either August 20 or 27, 5:30-7:30pm, and come for free dinner for the whole family, childcare, and participate in our mission to Build Believers. Complete the response flyer in the bulletin on Sunday and drop it in the offering plate, on the back table, or see specific ministries and RSVP on the City.

Baptism – September 10
The next date available for baptism is September 10. If you or someone in your family wants to participate in it or future baptisms, email Brittany (). Parents, we have an excellent workbook that helps kids understand the meaning of baptism. Contact Regina Gossage () to get a book and learn more about the process.

Carpe Diem
Teaching from Ecclesiastes 9:2-18, Pastor Jack helped us consider what kind of perspective we should have today. On one hand, we live with the reality that death is certain. On the other, we live with the uncertainties of this life. Sandwiched in between is the truth that today is the day God has given. The Preacher in Ecclesiastes tells us not to live life for its delights – but delight in the life you get to live. Listen to “Carpe Diem.
