DESCRIPTION:Drop off / Check in: 5:00pm at BRBC Friday March 22\nPick up / Check out: 11:30am at BRBC Sunday March 24 (after the church service)\nMarch 22-24 Blue Ridge is organizing a weekend youth retreat for high school students grades 9-12, ages 14-18. The retreat will include worship, Bible lessons, Camp Highroad team challenges, and tons of fun. \nTheme – “More Than Conquerors”\nWe will expand on our theme from Romans 8:37 – diving into our identity and victory over sin, suffering, and even death. My hope is that students walk away encouraged to experience the joy of following Jesus even in the face of trials and challenges. \nCosts\nThe last day to sign up is March 13 and the cost is $120. Two nights lodging, food, activities at Highroad and tshirt. Scholarships are available – contact pastor David for more information – david@brbible.org. Basically if money is a hindrance, please talk to me – we want to make it work! \nLocation\nCamp Highroad is located in Middleburg Virginia, just 20 minutes from the church. It is a Christian outdoor adventure camp. Our students will stay in a “Pine Lodge” where they will be in camp-style bunks — guys and girls will obviously be separated with separate bathroom facilities. The lodge is fully heated and cozy warm! www.camphighroad.org/plan-a-visit/facilities\nAgenda\nThe overview plan for the weekend is to have three main teaching times – Friday night, Saturday morning and Saturday evening. Friday night we will have a time of worship and lots of games! Between the teaching and food on Saturday we plan to go out and have some fun on the campgrounds; this will include doing various team challenges and zipline. And of course there will be free time for students to hang out in the lodge, or go out to the Gaga pit to play Gaga Ball.   \nWhat to pack? \nToiletries! *steps on soap box to talk about soap* Any essential hygiene items are a must! With this many middle school kids running around for the weekend, there is a lot of potential for stink! Let’s mitigate that as much as possible. ;). Students will be expected to take showers over the weekend. \nOther Essential Packing items:\n\nBible, notepad, pen/pencil\nSleep stuff (sleeping bag, pillow, etc.) – they have the bunk beds, but they don’t have sheets or blankets. \nToiletries (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, deodorant, towel etc.)\nOutdoor weather appropriate clothes\nWater bottle to refill\nSnacks (you are welcome to bring your own snacks but there is a Youth Pastor tax, where 20% must be shared with the youth pastor on site) NO PEANUTS\n\n* Note: If your student is bringing a prescription med they need to take, Please let me know. Then put them in a zip lock bag with instructions and turn them in when you come Friday night.
