Saturday plans? + More Rebellion

Come on out to the workday this Saturday! If you can spare even an hour, there is work both indoors and outdoors! 8:30am-2:00pm. Please bring any rakes, shovels, tarps, leaf blowers, or work gloves you may have. All ages welcome. Lunch is provided! See more details here.

Remember to support the Normandy team this Sunday after church by staying for a yummy lunch in the quad, details below.

Join the Baptism Team: Are you looking for your place to serve? We are need of 1-2 more people willing to help make our baptisms happen. This involves assisting at the beginning of a baptism service with practical logistics (handing a towel, turning off lights, etc) and potentially overseeing the filling and emptying of the baptismal pool.

French Lunch, Normandy Fundraiser – April 9
Come to the quad after the 2nd service on Sunday for lunch and support our mission service team to Normandy! Soup, salad, French bread, and chocolate pastries … are you hungry yet? Gluten-free items will be available too. Suggested donation: $10 per person. See the flyer in the bulletin Sunday, and see details on the City

Good Friday Service & Easter – April 14 & 16
Please come and worship together at our Good Friday service, April 14, 7:00pm. We will reflect on the sacrifices made by our Savior and prepare our hearts to rejoice. This brief service is for the whole family; childcare is not available. Easter Sunday is our regular schedule, including Sunday school.

Congregational Meeting & Elder Vote – April 23
Plan to stay after the 2nd service on April 23 for a brief meeting and vote on Bill Wilcox, who is being recommended by the elders to become an elder. See Bill’s bio and photo.

Baby Shower – April 23
Ladies, please join us for a baby shower honoring Amy George on Sunday, April 23 from 2:30-4:30pm at the home of Cheryl Finnegan in Leesburg. This is for all BRBC women (16 years & above) – come for fellowship, regardless whether you know the mom! RSVP and see gift lists on the City.

Community Serve Day – May 6
Our local Tree of Life Ministries invites BRBC and other area churches to join in on May 6 for Community Serve Day 2017, a day that is being set aside to bless our community and share the love of Jesus Christ. Volunteer with a Clothing & Furniture Giveaway (Setup, Prayer Walking, Translators, Shopping Assistants, or Food Prep/Servers) or a Working Hands home renovation project (Yardwork, Painting, Paneling, or Insulation). Learn more and sign up here.

Rebellion’s Influence
Pastor Jack unpacked the “triad of triads” that Jude uses in verses 11-13 to demonstrate how a rebellious heart influences others. Instead, we are to be good influencers, who are “moist”: models, orthodox, with integrity, sociable, and teachable. Listen to “Rebellion’s Influence” to learn more about these traits.
