Sunday caroling, Christmas, year-end + Heaven Opens

Coming to churchwide caroling this Sunday evening? Let us know! (Or just come, that’s fine … but it would be nice to know how big a group we’ll have!) More details below.

Cookies, cookies, cookies. Thanks to everyone who is bringing cookies to caroling! We will also be serving cookies after the Christmas Eve service. Sign up here if you can bring cookies on the 24th!

Would anyone like some wood? If so, cherry wood (needs to be split) is available for the taking near the top entrance of the church.

Churchwide Caroling in Our Community – This Sunday
Come out this Sunday evening and help us be out in our community AND enjoy spending time together. Be in the sanctuary at 5:30pm sharp; we’ll wrap up by 7:30pm. Let us know on the City that you’re coming! Missed the caroling tract and Christmas Eve invitation from last Sunday? Pick one up on the table in the foyer on Sunday.

Christmas Plans – December 24
We will have our Christmas Eve service at 11:00am only. Please bring your family, friends, and neighbors to celebrate the birth of our Savior together! No childcare is provided and no other Sunday activities will occur. On December 31, we will return to our regular Sunday schedule.

Year-End Giving
Please note that Sunday, December 31 is the final Sunday to put a check in the offering plate to be counted toward 2017 giving. Online giving needs to be dated prior to 12/25. Checks received via mail must be dated and postmarked by 12/31. Our giving is $29,000 below budget at this time—please prayerfully consider how God may move you to give!

Many Activities Resume – Week of January 7
As a heads-up, Life Groups and the Ladies Tuesday morning Bible study will resume the week of January 7. Also, the new Moms’ COFFEE encouragement group will meet for the first time on January 11. More details will be available on the City this coming week.

Jesus Opens The Heavens
David Parker taught from Matthew 3:1-17 about how John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus and His kingdom—and how we can still prepare our hearts for Him today! We see and experience God’s kingdom when we depend on God and admit our need for Him. Listen to “Jesus Opens The Heavens.
