Send-off Party for the Shipes – July 30
Reminder to sign up – Everyone is invited to come at 6:30 p.m. for Rich Shipe’s commissioning and a send-off party for the Shipes as they soon will leave us for their church planting training in Chicago. This is for the whole family and will include cake and ice cream at the end of the party. Click here to RSVP on The City and please include how many in your family will attend.

Chillin & Grillin – August 7
It’s time for our annual Chillin & Grillin at Franklin Park from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. It’s for the whole family and includes grilled hot dogs, watermelon, and lots of fellowship through Frisbee golf and other fun activities or just “chillin” with the church family. Access to the pool from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. is included in the $5.00 per person cost. So that enough food is provided, you must sign up and pay on July 24 or 31 at the auditorium table.

Membership Introduction Class – August 7
Interested in becoming a member of Blue Ridge or just want to learn more? Come to an introduction class on August 7, 9:30 a.m. in the library. After this one in-person class, the remaining is a self-paced portion online. Email Debbie Stevenson () to sign up. Childcare will be provided if you sign up by July 31.

Prayer & Praise
We praise Him for our team going to Joni & Friends Family Camp in Pennsylvania from July 31 to August 5, assisting with families who have disabled members. Please pray for safe travels and good health, and for God to use Caroline Geno, Olivia & Will Koleszar, John Richardson, Emma, Rachel & Allie Shipe, Debbie Stevenson, Nellie Truesdale and David Watson for His Kingdom.

Pastor Jack’s message entitled “Cleansed” from Hebrews 9:15-28 and 12:18-28 compared Israel’s Old Testament access to God’s holiness and the necessary sacrificial process for cleansing with the New Testament cleansing done once for all by Christ. That should leave us in reverence and awe of our Great God and Savior!
