Your church home, communion, coffee, baptism + Identity

This Sunday – learn more about BRBC at the Membership Intro class at 9:30am in Room 104, and come prepared to celebrate communion together!

Haven’t yet accepted your Town group invite? Here’s how.

Ladies Coffee & Conversation – January 29
Ladies, come out for the next Coffee & Conversation—the winter edition! This is a fellowship for all BRBC women over 16 years of age. Get closer with old friends and make new friends as we enjoy an evening of fellowship and discuss God’s Word together. Nursing babies only please. Please RSVP on the City, or to our hostess Jan Murphy ( or 540-338-2480).

Baptism Service & Celebration – February 1 Deadline
If you or someone in your family would like to participate in baptism on February 18, please let Brittany know by Feb 1 (). Everyone else, mark your calendars for this special celebration!

Is BRBC Your Church Home? – February 4
Consider making this the year you covenant with us in membership! Membership allows you to show your connection with and bless our church family by serving in deeper ways. Come to the next Membership Introduction class to get started, or just come to learn more about BRBC. Contact Brittany with questions or to sign up (.

BRBC Worship Security Team
Did you know that our church has a security team and a policy concerning weapons on the premises? We do! Our team is comprised of both armed and unarmed volunteers. Team members who carry a concealed weapon on BRBC premises must meet three criteria: they must be a church member, an active law enforcement officer or a Virginia concealed carry permit holder, and they must have been authorized to carry by BRBC leadership. Virginia law requires that all three criteria are met. For concerns or questions regarding the BRBC weapons policy, contact elder Alan Bigler (). Should you have a desire to join our Security ministry, contact Michael Horner ().

Praying Together
Praise God for the 42 students, 8 host homes, and 8 small group leaders who will be attending and leading the DNow retreat this weekend. Let’s pray that God will bless our high school students, make their faith their own, and use them in powerful ways to display His grace to others!

Our Identity in Christ
Continuing in our “Discipleship of the Heart” series, Pastor Jack exhorted us from Ephesians 2:1-10 to live as new creations, in the wonderful new identity God has given us. He has made us alive to Himself, and this has an amazing impact on us moment by moment each day! Listen to “Our Identity in Christ.”
