“Are you coming?” and other opportunities this week

“Are you coming?” That’s a summary of the bulletin news this week. Read through the announcements below and see how you can come, serve and bless others.

Start with bringing the non-perishable food items that you are collecting from your neighbors. Everything needs to be brought this Sunday, February 7, either in the morning or during Awana (4:00-5:30pm).

The Romania Missions Team is having another bake sale this Sunday to raise funds for their summer projects. This week they also will offer quarts of homemade chicken soup and Super Bowl snacks. All proceeds go towards their trip projects.

V-Blast Party for Romania Mission Team
This is a fun event for kids 0-12 years olds while parents go out on a date for Valentine’s Day. Parents, drop off your kids at church on Saturday, February 13, 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., for pizza, games, Valentine crafts and movie. There are prizes to kids wearing the most red or pink. Cost: $15 per child, $50 max per family (all for the Romania Missions Team). Contact Regina Gossage () to make the required reservations by February 10.

Knowing Christ Book Group
We are starting a book group focusing on “Knowing Christ” by Mark Jones. Think book club format, using a combination of online and in-person meetings at intervals to discuss the book’s impact. It starts during the week of February 21. Participants order their own book and join The City “Knowing Christ book group”. The coordinator is Andria Donnelly.

World Missions Potluck – February 21
Everyone is encouraged to come to a potluck after the second service to hear a report from our missionary, Jayme Metzgar, on her recent trip to Romania. Please bring a main dish for 10 plus salad or dessert.

Baby Shower – February 22
Ladies, you are encouraged to come to a baby shower to honor Katie Haecker, hosted by Karen Gill. Details are on The City or RSVP to .

Prayer & Praise
We are blessed to have two more families participating in a baby dedication service today. Please remember David, Nicole and Adelyn Kavin, and Nathaniel, Christina and Ian Scott in your prayers.
