Change your clocks! shower, workday, Smart Money + Immanence

Turn back your clocks this Saturday night! Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend, so here’s your reminder to set your clocks back an hour before bed Saturday night so you don’t arrive an hour early for church. 🙂

Baby shower this Saturday. Ladies, come for a great time together and celebrate Mandy Furhrman, 10:00am at Nancy Wilcox’s. Details here.

Remember the workday! Can you carve out an hour or so (or more!) from your schedule next Saturday/Nov 11? Please help out by refreshing and working on our building!

Free Dave Ramsey Seminar – November 7
Participate in a live stream of Dave Ramsey’s popular “Smart Money” seminar, hosted at the home of Bob & Roz Custard from 8:00-11:00pm on November 7. This is a great introductory alternative if you missed out on our Financial Peace University life group this fall. RSVP on the City or email .

Fall Workday @ Church – November 11
This is our semiannual opportunity to work shoulder-to-shoulder together AND give our church building the refreshing it needs after hard use! Please seriously consider coming out on Saturday, November 11, 8:30am-2:00pm for as much or as little time you can give. Family friendly, tasks for all ages. A pizza lunch is served for those here around noon, so an RSVP on the City is helpful. But show up regardless of an RSVP!

Pack A Shoebox – November 12 & 19
Once again BRBC will participate in the Operation Christmas Child (OCC) shoebox project by Samaritan’s Purse. This reaches millions of children all over the world each year with the good news of Jesus. Get an empty shoebox, decide if your box is for a boy or girl and what age, fill with gifts, pray for the child receiving the box, and drop your box off November 12 or 19. See packing instructions at http://sampur.se/10Ohft5.

Smash & Bash
Pastor Jack wrapped up a multi-part look at Psalm 18, continuing to show through 18:37-50 how a transcendent God becomes immanent (think Immanuel: God with us) in our lives. God still shows His immanence by building His kingdom through the unity and love of a diverse people. Listen to “Smash & Bash.
