Christmas for Others, ladies fellowship + Gilgal

This Saturday, please note that men’s breakfast is cancelled.

This Sunday, be sure to return your Christmas for Others gift if you picked up a gift tag! Sunday by 5:30pm is the deadline to turn in gifts. This Sunday is also our next Membership Orientation.

As we enter the season of Advent, be on the lookout for intentional ways during Sunday worship services to help you prepare your heart for Christ’s coming, as well as other opportunities to be a part of introducing someone else to Jesus this season.

Christmas for Others – drop off deadline on Sunday
If you picked up a gift tag, please leave your gift under the logos at the back of the sanctuary on Sunday, or be sure to get your gift to the church office no later than 5:30pm Sunday. Want more involvement to bless those in need in our community? Serve at the Christmas for Others giveaway on December 9 from 6:00-8:00pm (volunteer at the sign up link here).

Ladies Christmas Fellowship – December 8
Enjoy a restful, encouraging afternoon from 2-4:00pm this Saturday here at the church (ages 16 and up). RSVP and find more details about the used ornament exchange and gifts of encouragement for one of our missionary wives, Denise Holman. You can also visit the table at the back of the sanctuary on Sunday. Plan to come! An RSVP is helpful but not required.

Benevolence Fund
We maintain a non-budget fund to provide financial assistance within our congregation and in the community. Will you consider helping to replenish the fund? Please write “benevolence fund” on checks or give online on Blue Ridge Connect and select that fund.

We’re Ghana Go …
On January 10th, 2019, Will Koleszar, John Richardson, and Tim Stocker are Ghana go on a mission trip for 4 months to Ghana in West Africa to aid BRBC-supported missionary Stephen Aputara in his ministries. Each team member needs to raise over $4,000. They would greatly appreciate support financially, and more importantly, in prayer! Give online or via text, or give via check and write “Ghana Mission Team” on the memo line.

Battle of the 5 Armies
Continuing in a series in the book of Joshua called “From Promise to Victory,” Pastor Jack preached from Joshua chapter 10. From the Israelites’ circumstances battling the five surrounding armies, we learn that God’s promises enable our obedience … and our “Gilgal” enables endurance. Listen to “Battle of the 5 Armies.
