Ghana 3, Update #5

Hello Ghana Supporters,

We have been busy typing exams for both schools. We are enjoying this work knowing that it meets one of their basic, tangible needs. It’s encouraging to receive positive feedback and see the results of our work. There are only 2 weeks left until the students take a month long vacation from school.

The hermeneutics class that we are teaching with the young adult group is going well as far as we can tell. It encourages us when we see students who are willing to learn and eager to work hard.

We have been given the privilege to preach at our church’s annual Easter convention. Several churches will attend this event, and we are humbled to have the chance to share God’s Word with them. Although we feel unqualified, we take comfort in the power of the Holy Spirit to intercede and communicate the Word.

Prayer Requests:

1) Please pray that God would give us wisdom when deciding how to use our project money and that our efforts to help local churches would encourage them and point to Christ.

2) Pray that the Holy Spirit would bless us with understanding as we study the Bible to prepare our sermons.

3) Although we all speak English, there are many differences in the way Ghanaians and Americans speak. As a result, preaching or teaching at a Bible study can be difficult. Please pray that we would be able to find the right words to clearly communicate.

4) Praise God for the amazing hospitality of the Aputara family. May God bless them for the love and generosity they have shown us.

Thanks for your constant support – we love you guys.
