Happy Thanksgiving & Upcoming Christmas News

Just as the Pilgrims gave thanks to God for his protection and preservation of their lives after a brutal winter (long ago in 1621!), we too remember that God gives us every breath and takes care of all our needs. Let’s be encouraged as we celebrate Thanksgiving! “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” (Romans 8:32)

Ladies Christmas Brunch – December 10
Ladies, come for a refreshing morning of fellowship with your sisters (for ages 18 and above), delicious catered food, and a thoughtful program to help prepare your heart for the season of Jesus’ birth. Consider inviting a friend to join the festivities. See the flyer for details and sign up at the table in the auditorium or RSVP on the City before December 4.

Christmas Plans
On Saturday, December 24, we will have our annual Christmas Eve Service at 6:00pm. Please bring your family, friends, and neighbors to celebrate the birth of our Savior together through song and Scripture. No childcare is provided. On Christmas Day the church family is invited to a short service at 11:00am only for a Christmas Day Devotional together. Childcare will not be provided, except for nursery age.

reBOOT 2017 – Chaperones & Drivers Needed
Parents, please consider making this middle school retreat a success by helping as a chaperone or driver!

reBOOT 2017 is a 3-day retreat of Bible teaching and exhortation, worship, fun, and fellowship focused on spiritual growth and outreach for middle school youth, leaving BRBC 4:30pm on Friday, December 30 for Skycroft Conference Center in Middletown, Maryland and returning to BRBC noon on Sunday, January 1. Contact David Parker at to sign up by December 11, or to volunteer as a chaperone or driver. Check out the full information on the City.

Praise & Prayer
BRBC and the Awana families collected 141 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child this month! Please pray that the boxes will be providentially matched with each child, and for them to receive Jesus as their Savior.

On November 20, our visiting missionary unpacked a familiar passage about making disciples, Matthew 28:18-20, and challenged us to live in a way that reflects Jesus is for everyone, no matter their nation, culture, background, or other status. We are uniquely equipped to do this through His power and presence with us! (A recording of his sermon is not available due to security reasons.)
