At the cross the greatest single act of mercy, grace, and justice was displayed. The innocent one Jesus takes our sin and the judgment we deserve upon Himself (mercy), satisfying God’s demand for justice against sin. At the same time, He freely offers His record of perfection (grace) to us. “Father, forgive them.” Jesus is offering this forgiveness to anyone who would believe—to you.
You can receive forgiveness and be made pure! This happens when we accept by faith the invaluable gift of Jesus’ perfect life of righteousness. Living life in this forgiveness and love is how God designed you—and this is how you experience lasting peace and joy that can’t be snatched away by your circumstances.
