Ridge Notes for November 5, 2015

Fall Work Day is this Saturday, November 7!
As the age-old truth says, “many hands make light work”, and we have many tasks to be done this Saturday from 8:30 to Noon. Please block out some morning time to come and help, even just a hour would be most appreciated. There are things to be done for all ages and skills. Our task list for the inside of the building is as big as the outside, so even if it rains, we will be inside bonding together and completing the list.

If the rain passes us by, please bring leaf blowers and tarps. If you love to paint, wear your paint clothes and paint trays and rollers. Other supplies will be provided.

Covenant Membership Class – Begins November 8
Our three-week class for those who want to become members or for those seeking more information about BRBC will meet November 8, 15 and 22 at 9:30 a.m. in the library (Room 104). Contact to sign up.

Women’s Coffee & Conversation – November 9
Here’s a new way for BRBC ladies (over 18) to get together for fellowship and to study God’s attributes. Please come Monday, November 9 at 7:00 p.m. to Jan Murphy’s house to catch up with old friends and make new ones. RSVP on The City or to . Nursing babies only, please.

Operation Christmas Child – Drop off November 8 & 15
Awana invites the congregation to join them in filling shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. It’s a simple outreach opportunity to share the love of Christ with children all over the world! This can be a personal project, LIFE group outreach or family effort with each child in your family filling a shoebox. Go to Complete instructions or the bulletin insert, or flyers in the foyer, or in the Awana box outside the church office. All boxes must be brought to church no later than Sunday, November 15 in the morning services or during Awana.

Prayer & Praise
On Sunday we will acknowledge the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Please faithfully pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world who must daily stand firm on God’s promises to endure great hardships and even death. We praise God for giving them peace and joy in their trials, and that He is using this persecution to bring many into His Kingdom.

From 2 Thessalonians 2:13-3:5, Pastor Jack asked us to consider what our destiny rests upon. Download “Pillars of Destiny”  to see what our foundation’s pillars should be.
