Road closures, Satisfied 2018, FAQs + Trouble

Road closures this Sunday! Very important – if you will arrive at church between 8:00-9:00am this Sunday, you will only be able to get here via A St. The Turkey Trot 5k will close Main St in Purcellville. From the west, use 32nd St (690) to A Street; from the east, use the Southern Collector Road. Scroll down here for the road closure map.

A big thank you to the 50 awesome folks who came, served, and enjoyed the fun at last weekend’s church workday!

Fill a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child – November 11 & 18
Our kids and families in Awana once again lead the charge to take this small step to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Jesus all over the world! If you would like to participate, get an empty shoebox, decide if your box is for a boy or girl and what age, fill with gifts, pray for the child receiving the box, and drop your box off November 11 or 18. See packing instructions online.

Satisfied 2018 – November 18
Mark your calendars for a week from Sunday, November 18, for a special time of worship, 7:00-8:00pm only. Come prepare your heart for Thanksgiving! Whether the holiday is a good time for you, or one that requires effort to be with family, let’s join together and remember who we’re supposed to go to to be satisfied.

Thanksgiving Together – November 22
Looking for a way to bless those in need? Tree of Life Ministries needs lots of donations of specific food items to help make their annual free meal possible. Anyone is welcome to attend the dinner at 12:00 noon and join in the community! Opportunities to serve food at the meal, greet, and more are also available. Sign up to donate food or volunteer here.

BRBC Worship Security Team
Did you know that our church has a security team and a policy concerning weapons on the premises? We do! Our team is comprised of both armed and unarmed volunteers. Team members who carry a concealed weapon on BRBC premises must meet three criteria: they must be a church member, an active law enforcement officer or a Virginia concealed carry permit holder, and they must have been authorized to carry by BRBC leadership. Virginia law requires that all three criteria are met. For concerns or questions regarding the BRBC weapons policy, contact elder Alan Bigler (). Should you have a desire to join our Security ministry, contact Michael Horner ().

Blue Ridge Connect FAQs
Go to to check out helpful screenshots and answers to frequently asked questions about our new online church community! We’re recommending that each and every person update their profile privacy settings to show their email and phone # (so you are a part of our church directory) and communication settings to add your cell # and carrier (so you receive timely messages from your group leaders). See the FAQs to learn how to do these things.

Achan’s Troubles
Continuing in a series in the book of Joshua called “From Promise to Victory,” Pastor Jack preached from Joshua 7:1-26 that sin ruins the inheritance God has for His people, and He will not tolerate it. We need to agree with God, be aggressive toward our sin, and take action to get rid of it! Listen to “Achan’s Troubles.
