Shipe family, hurricane help, baby shower, JJ Heller + Lamenting well

Shipes visiting this Sunday. Our former associate pastor, Rich Shipe, and his family whom we sent out to plant a church will be preaching and visiting with us on Sunday! RSVP for the potluck after 2nd service and stay to hear an update.

Baby Shower – September 30
Ladies, please join us for a baby shower honoring Katie Paquette on Saturday, September 30 from 2:00-4:00pm hosted at Christina Scott’s home in Round Hill. This is for all BRBC women (16 years & above), regardless whether you know the expectant mom—come for fellowship! RSVP and see gift lists on the City.

Membership Introduction Class – October 1
Interested in becoming a member of BRBC or just want to learn more about us? Come to the introduction class on October 1, 9:30am in Room 104. The class is offered on the first Sunday of each month and is the intro for the self-paced online portion of the course. Sign up at .

Romania Reborn Concert – October 6
Join BRBC supported ministry Romania Reborn for their annual benefit concert featuring Christian artist JJ Heller and benefiting orphans in Romania. The event is right here at BRBC starting at 7:00pm on October 6. Purchase tickets at www.romania-reborn.org or at the table next Sun/Oct 1.

Baptism – October 8
Our next baptism is on October 8. If you or someone in your family wants to participate in it or future baptisms, email Brittany (). Parents, we have an excellent workbook that helps kids understand the meaning of baptism. Contact Regina Gossage () to get a book and learn more about the process.

Annual Clothing Exchange – October 12-14
Mark your calendars for our annual clothing exchange! On Thursday/October 12 and Friday/October 13, you can drop off clothing and toy donations in the sanctuary between 9:00am and 8:00pm. On Saturday/October 14, shopping is open to the community from 9:00am-12:00pm. Come share what you no longer need and look for what you do! A Cry in the Darkness
Pastor Jack taught us from Psalm 3 about how this passage shows up that even our laments can lead us to worship. In fact, being honest before God with our pain and suffering is a crucial part of the journey of faith for God’s people. The example of lament in this Psalm shows us how to lay the facts out before God, pause to recapture our emotions, trust in God’s protection, experience His peace, and end with our eyes confidently on You as our prize.
