Summer Schedule starts Sunday & other timely needs

The new Sunday schedule for the summer begins this Sunday, June 12. Two biggest changes: No Sunday School classes at 9:30, except nursery for infants up to 3 years…AND… Vacation Bible School for ages 4-11 is every week during the entire 11:00 a.m. worship time. This schedule lasts through August 28.

Parents, check in your VBS kids and bring them directly to the quad room. They do not go with you to the worship service for later dismissal.

RECAP
9:30 – Worship service with childcare for 0-3 years only; no other classes.
11:00 – Worship service, nursery, toddlers & VBS (ages 4-11).

Women’s Bunco Bash
Ladies, come to our Bunco Bash, Sunday, June 26, 7 p.m. It will be great fun and a chance for you to invite friends. Volunteers are needed to set up, help with Bunco, and bring easy snacks. Please go to the table at the back of the auditorium this Sunday to sign up and on June 19, or contact Sara Watson () for more information.

Help for the Church Nursery
Ladies, in case you missed the nursery shower at the last Coffee & Conversation, the opportunity to fill needs in our nursery is still open. Here’s what’s left on the wish list..Also, another way to help is by contacting Bethany Johns if you would like to be on our rotation schedule to serve once a month during either worship service. Workers must be at least 13 years of age. Contact Bethany at .

Tree of Life Food Pantry
The food pantry that we support is low on supplies. Needs are: Canned or dried beans, breakfast foods, canned chicken/meat, canned potatoes or tomatoes, peanut butter, jelly, and rice. You may bring them to the tub marked “Tree of Life” in the upper level foyer any Sunday.

Praise & Prayer
Part 2 of our Road to Romania Team leaves on June 15. They will lead VBS groups and build greenhouses to provide families with a source of food and income. Leaving this week are Rodney & April Caswell, Jon, Olga, & Benjamin Garber, Tom & Alandace Gossage, Jason, Jessica & Sarah Neer, Rebecca Shaw-Fuller, and Stan & David Watson. Pray for safe travels, good health, and abundant impact for God’s Kingdom. VERY IMPORTANT — The Team is hoping that we can help them by donating items for them to use in the VBS programs that they will conduct. Go to the Genius list for specifics.

Pastor Jack opened his message from Hebrews 7:11-28 with the question, “Why did we need the mysterious priest Melchizedek?” He was perfect for his time, but we needed a priest of a different kind for a once-for-all atonement., who is “The Perfect Priest” Jesus.
