Tasty pastries, training, God at work + Survival training

This Sunday, be sure to attend the Membership Introduction Class at 9:30am in the library if you want to get more involved here and/or learn about becoming a member!

We’ll also be sharing stories from our recent Backyard Bible Club outreach and celebrating God at work during services this Sunday.

Lastly, be on the lookout for the Cross-Training flyer in the bulletin and if you call BRBC home, please consider staying or getting involved in building believers here!

Pastry Shop in Paris, Normandy fundraiser – August 13
French pastries, coffee, and a touch of Paris! You can support the short-term mission service team going to Normandy, France in September just by enjoying a pastry and photo op! Stop by the bake sale table in the upstairs lobby or the photo booth in the quad after 1st or 2nd service next Sunday.

Cross-Training – August 20 or 27
Cross-training is our annual event where we desire for each person who calls BRBC home to get trained up for ministry to our church body! Pick either August 20 or 27, 5:30-7:30pm, and come for free dinner for the whole family, childcare, and participate in our mission to Build Believers. Complete the response flyer in the bulletin on Sunday and drop it in the offering plate, on the back table, or see specific ministries and RSVP on the City.

God At Work
Praise God for the 119 kiddos who came to a Backyard Bible Club in July as part of our neighborhood outreach! Let’s continue to pray that the BRBC families who hosted clubs—and all of us—are used by God to bless our neighbors and for the gospel seeds planted in kids’ hearts to bear fruit, resulting in lives and families transformed by Jesus.

Survival Training for a Fallen World
Pastor Jack preached from Ecclesiastes 8:1-9:1, which addresses how knowing God and having His wisdom available to us impacts our days on a practical level. When we’re in the trying times of life’s riptide—don’t panic, obey God’s truth, be patient and pace yourself for the long haul. He is here, with us, He sees. And we can look forward to the day when He will set all things right! Listen to “Survival Training for a Fallen World.
