Great Things celebration – September 8
Join us for a very special Sunday, as we close out our summer schedule! September 8, 11am-1:30pm, is when we will have this year’s Great Things celebration. One service only, at 11:00am, with a catered BBQ lunch afterwards. RSVPs are needed for lunch by Sept 1 (no exceptions possible). RSVP now! More details: We want to pause to celebrate all God has done in and through BRBC this past year with worship and a ministry year-in-review, and also commit the coming year to Him (11am-12pm). This year, we’re continuing the celebration with a catered BBQ lunch together, immediately following the service (12-12:45pm, $5/adult & $2/child). We’ll wrap everything up with a vote on leadership and how we’ll spend your money next year (12:45-1:30pm). Make plans to come, you are invited!
Transition into fall – next 6 weeks
Here’s what you need to watch out for as we transition to fall over the next 6 weeks: Be equipped to continue or start serving at Cross Training on Aug 18 or 25. Bring questions on church leadership & budget to the Town Hall on Aug 28 (see those here on BRC). Enjoy the Great Things celebration & RSVP for lunch on Sept 8. The following Sunday, Sept 15, will mark the beginning of our fall schedule and will kick-off all of our ministries restarting this fall; see fall launch info here. Let’s be encouraged that God is at work in His church, both here and around the world!
Sunday service volunteer highlight: Security Team
Can you lock a door? Are you willing to serve one hour every two months? We are not looking for the “Rock,” “Rambo,” or “Dirty Harry.” The Worship Security Team is looking for committed members who want to ensure a safe and non-disruptive worship service. Don’t be intimidated by the requirements. We only ask that you: are a Follower of Jesus Christ; regularly attend our worship service; are a Church Member or Associate Member; understand the published security procedures; are aware of all exits and ability to assist in an emergency. A Story About A Commissioning
Continuing in a summer series on “The Holiness of God” from the book of Isaiah, Pastor Jack taught from Isaiah 6. We are reminded through Isaiah’s commissioning that we are on mission for God too!
